About this deal

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of shaving in the shower as it just makes everything more difficult and tedious, but you can do it if you choose so. Intenté con cera, con crema para depilar y más cosas pero ninguna me satisfacía por completo hasta que compré esta. Philips recommends replacing this head every year, but in practice, it tends to last a lot more than that.

Finally, there’s the unique feature of a second trimmer head that uses a normal blade (no rounded teeth) and has an adjustable comb. I recommend removing the foil head and washing the bottom part of it as well as there will be lots of clipped hairs trapped there. The Magic clipper can come with either of those, so make sure you check the description or ask the vendor. The trimmer is fast and quite efficient at capturing and cutting the hairs, even though you will have to go over the flat-lying ones a few times. The Bodygroom 7000's unique dual-sided design allows you to effortlessly switch between shaving and trimming. Therefore, I'd say to primarily shave with a razor and then finish with this product on areas that you want to be particularly smooth. Charging the groomer takes just under an hour; it ships with the standard Philips cord that plugs directly into the groomer.

Overall, the Bodygroom 7000 provides phenomenal battery life and it’s a major step up from its predecessor. Unlike the one on the BG2040, the teeth of the combs are joined together at the top, eliminating any flexing and greatly reducing the risk of them breaking. Yes since I am looking for a trimmer, I was a bit puzzled at first, when I saw an article on shavers and not trimmers.

Again, only if this accessory is a must-have or your budget is smaller, otherwise the Bodygroom 7000 is objectively a better product. The foil head with the two edges that have rounded/beveled blades should be safe (I personally never had any issues). If it still falls out easily, inspect the plastic sides of the head closely to see if there’s anything broken.

The other one is that the foil head of the groomer is fixed, meaning it won’t swivel up and down like the one on the Bodygroom 7000 (both use the exact same foil head). Another small gripe is with the ON and OFF buttons; you can sometimes accidentally press them during use if you hold the groomer really tight in your hand. Ideally, I would have liked an even larger guard (9 or 11mm) because some men just want to remove the bulk of hair. The newer BG7030/49 is superior in pretty much every single aspect, battery life and the improvement of the trimmer and shaving head being among the most important ones. I found the comb most effective when attached so that the comb fins are facing upwards, whereas attaching the other way round caused the hair to get stuck in the pearl tips, continually needing to be cleaned out.By the way, the post I’ve mentioned previously only discusses head shavers as I thought you were looking to get one of those, not a regular hair clipper. Its purpose is obviously to trim body hairs at a certain length while protecting the skin from being nicked by the blades.
