About this deal

But does it live up to its name? Yes, it actually does. The most impressive thing about it is that the difference between the top and bottom fan speeds isn’t actually that great in terms of volume to the naked ear. Indeed, bringing out the sound level metre reveals a volume of 72.9db at max speed when recorded immediately in front of the fan, dropping to 47db two metres away. That’s both slightly better and worse than the Dyson Pure Cool (70db / 51.9db) in the same metrics, but given the Honeywell is quieter at 2m and costs a fraction of the price, it’s a great result. This Honeywell quietset whole room model has standard adjustment settings for its price, it doesn't include an extensive timer range, but this is expected for the money, the remote control is great for operating the device from a distance. Sometimes, central cooling systems don’t reach every corner and space of your home. In these cases, you need a desk fan. They are an ideal solution to increase air-flow for your personal space like your home office or study table. These compact and portable electric fans can be taken anywhere in the room if you prefer some extra cooling for yourself. These small fans come in many sizes so choose the one that fits well on your desk. There are many stylish designs too. Overall, we have to say that we were really pleased with the Honeywell QuietSet Tower Fan and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.Tower fans at night walk a thin line between being powerful enough to have an impact on your body temperature, and not sounding like a jet engine taking off. Typically that’s why many models have a ‘night mode’ designed to offer a compromise between noise and performance – one that’ll let you get some sleep. Fan stalwart Honeywell’s latest model puts these credentials front and centre, with the word ‘quiet’ right there on the box for all to see. The Honeywell QuietSet® 8 Tower Fan provides powerful, precise, quiet cooling wherever and however you need it. The QuietSet® controls allow you to personalize the sound and cooling power of your fan, making it easy to relax in comfort. By working with a variety of trusted Range Plus Partners, we’re able to offer our customers a wider selection of products. If you’re using your fan in a bedroom or other living space, a remote control can come in handy. One thing to look for is whether you’ll have all the controls you need on the fan itself. Some fans put all the controls on the remote, which leaves you unable to adjust settings if you misplace it.

Taking the tower fan out of the box, the first thing that we needed to do was to assemble the fan. Fortunately, we were very happy to see that this was just a matter of screwing the base onto the fan which took us only a matter of minutes. We were then ready to test the fan out properly. We use a fan upstairs to supplement our AC. I use to cool the bedroom/office where I've been working since Covid hit and to cool my side of the bed. Our old fan was a pedestal mount with a 20" blade and at its lowest speed produced too much air to work comfortably. Running it all night would dry out my sinuses. And it was noticeably loud, especially at night. Overall, we think for the price, this Honeywell tower fan has a great level of power and speed options for control, its oscillation is good for a small room and its quiet system makes the fan especially useful on hotter summer nights. What I appreciate most is that the lowest speed setting produces just the right amount of air - a light breeze - to work comfortably for 8 hrs+ without drying out my eyes. And it's nearly silent. During the day I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it, and at night it's barely audible. Because it's tall, the airflow covers my entire body, which provides a greater level of comfort. So without further ado, let's get into it! Main Features Of The Honeywell QuietSet Whole Room Tower Fan What we really liked about this was that it was not only quiet, but it also has an automatic light dimmer which dims the LED by 50%. We found that it was dim enough to not disrupt sleep at all. For power, the Honeywell QuietSet whole-room model comes with five levels of speed and has an oscillation angle of 75-degrees, the tower fan additionally has a quiet-set power system for nighttime use to reduce noise. When buying partner items like this one, your contract of sale will be with our Range Plus Partner instead of The Range. We tested all 5 modes and we were really impressed by how powerful each of them is. We were also really surprised by how quiet this fan was, even at the medium to high wind modes. We wanted to test out the night mode next. Use a can of compressed air to clean the unit followed by wiping down with a soft cloth (best performed outside).
