Born in Milan and graduated from the Polytechnic in 1951, Cini Boeri was immediately noticed by her design teacher Giò Ponti, who encouraged her to paint. Cini Boeri (1924) is an influential Italian product designer and architect. In 1973, she designed the Cibi Collection for Arnolfo di Cambio, a range which included this distinctive piece.
