About this deal

As the name suggests, the Henry Xtra is just like the regular Henry but a little bit more. He comes with a host of different accessories and features which means he can cope with just about any job going. Add to that all the usual benefits of the Henry range such as 9 litre capacity, a sturdy frame and reliable, long-lasting performance and you have the perfect addition for any pet lover’s home. It might sound like a complex term regarding suction or energy efficiency, Numatic International are the manufacturers of the Henry. Incidentally, although known as Henry Hoovers, they aren’t Hoovers by brand.

In addition Henry comes complete with an adaptor which can be used to attach any of the cleaning tools to the end of the hose. This is ideal for when cleaning in a confined space such as a car.

How quiet is the Henry HVR 160-11?

It comes with that large 9L capacity dustbin, fantastic reach, and has multiple attachments included. A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach. Thankfully Henry’s integrated grab handle means temporarily lifting the machine isn’t too bad for those in good physical shape but it’s fair to say that vacuuming staircases is not Henry’s forte. If your home does feature vast expanses of carpet then the ergonomics of a canister machine such as this might prove inferior to that of an upright but the versatility that Henry offers makes it far better for a range of tasks. Take car cleaning, which the Henry makes light work of thanks to its lengthy hose, strong suction and supplied crevice tool.

The Harry is the best in the range for cleaning up pet hair. It comes with a special brush attachment meant to lift hair and an activated charcoal filter which will draw out dirt and neutralize foul smelling pet pongs. Where do Henry Vacuums come from? litres dry dust bin capacity, which is a huge amount of space. Wet, the Charles holds 9 litres. An easy-to-operate switch goes between the two. It doesn’t matter which tool combination you have on the end of the Henry, you’ll always get impressive suction providing you’ve not filled its bag. Talking of bag filling, our machine typically gets at least a month of regular use in our large family home before it needs changing. The combination brush head is wheeled and features an adjustable brush section. - Oli Woodman / Our Media If you are desperately seeking an upright vacuum cleaner then have a look at our article regarding the best lightweight upright vacuum cleaners of the year, so far. FAQ’s about the Henry Vacuum Range

Henry Hoovers are well known for being built to last. Numatic has made over 10 million Henry’s over the years, many of which are still in use today. Independently rated as the UK’s most reliable vacuum brand, a Henry Hoover should last for many years and comes with a two year warranty in case anything breaks in those first two years. A common question that Numatic gets is can Henry Hoover be used without a bag? Numatic advise not to use the Henry Hoover without bags. Over time if you do use the Henry without bags, you risk damaging the motor which could lead to reduced performance. We don’t think anyone will have a hard time when it comes to installing or changing bags with the Henry. Two simple clips have to be released before the entire motor assembly lifts from the machine’s tub. Then it’s just a case of lifting out the circular filter element and you’ll have access to the bag which simply presses onto the reverse side of the suction hose. The Henry HVR 160-11 disasembles in seconds making bag changes really simple. It’d be easy to underestimate a cleaner with such charming looks, but rest assured the Henry HVR 160-11 offers serious suction. The 620w motor might not sound like a lot, but this vacuum offers suction that’s up there with the best in its class. One of the great aspects of this is its allergy retention, which is great for those of us who start sneezing every time the dust gets agitated.

The bigger the capacity of the vacuum cleaner, the more dust and dirt it can hold. With the likes of the Hetty Vacuum model, the capacity of the bag is higher than the capacity of the vacuum. This means you are unlikely to ever burst a bag by overfilling it. A good tip for those looking to save cash. There are a variety of considerations to be made before you make your final choice from the Henry vacuum range. Things like colour, shape, and whether or not it can handle cleaning up after your dog are important!
