About this deal

Cut the quesadillas in half, and serve whilst warm with a drizzle of soured cream, salsa, Holy Moly Guacamole, lime juice and fresh coriander.

The first cocktail we’d like to share with you is the Cazcabel Blanco Spicy Margarita, which is made with 50ml Cazcabel Blanco Tequila, 25ml Lime Juice, 20ml Agave Syrup, Half a Fresh Chilli or Four dashes of Green Tabasco. Jalisco coconuts are used in the sweet, earthy spirit, and should do rather well with all manner of tropical fruit juices. You will then need to shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a rocks glass over some more ice and garnish with a chilli for the perfect cocktail. Bursting with traditional agave flavours, as well as hints of pear, clementine and melon, it’s a supremely drinkable, modern tequila that pairs perfectly with a variety of mixers. This unaged, clear tequila is triple distilled for an exceptionally smooth sipping experience, with slight hints of citrus, floral notes and white pepper. Not really sure why people feel the need to comment when they clearly don't have a clue what they are talking about. Why not celebrate with one of these easy cocktails, or try a different bottle of the iconic Mexican spirit?

Cazcabel Coconut Tequila is a premium coconut liqueur made with the finest 100% blue agave tequila and the freshest Jalisco coconuts. Hearst UK is the trading name of the National Magazine Company Ltd, 30 Panton Street, Leicester Square, London, SW1Y 4AJ. Numerous celebrities have turned their hand to tequila over the years — including Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and George Clooney to name just two. It can only be made from blue agave (unlike smoky mezcal which can be created from over 30 different varieties).

Initially, we test our chosen tequilas without any mixers, allowing us to pick out those traditional flavours, as well as noting anything new or interesting. They were on the lookout for smooth, easy-drinking styles, with well-balanced sweetness and added complexity. All tequilas which are not labelled as 100% agave are mixtos in that up to 49% of the sugars in the ferment can come from sources other than agave plants.

The peppery finish means this spirit is better suited to cocktails, rather than sipping neat — so try it in a classic margarita to enjoy the saline note. It’s made with tequila blanco that’s been distilled for a short time, for a clean and authentic taste. A great tequila for those who like the intense agave flavour at the fore, it’s silky smooth, with citrus, almond and pepper flavours. Shake all the ingredients with ice and strain into a rocks glass over some more ice and then garnish with an orange peel and pineapple leaf. This tequila has a rich, deep golden hue, and mellow notes of lavender, hazelnut, bruised apple and caramel.

Like champagne, tequila production is a closely guarded secret and must be made and bottled within a specific area in Mexico. Sophie Decorbecq, the creator of this smooth, clean and ever so slightly smoky tequila, was a chemist in the cognac industry before upping sticks to follow her passion for tequila. This tasty cocktail is made with 50ml Cazcabel Coconut Tequila, 20ml Cointreau or Triple Sec, 25ml Lime Juice and 5ml Agave Syrup.
